UofL Outreach to Bowling Green

The University of Louisville made its presence known in
Bowling Green from a School of Music concert for music students in Warren County schools to a recruiting pitch from President James Ramsey at two high schools. Every fall, we go out, and head across the Commonwealth of Kentucky and we visit different communities so we’re starting today in Bowling Green, tomorrow we’ll be in Fort Campbell and Hopkinsville, then we’re going to Owensboro/Henderson/Madisonville, later we’ll do, um, Lexington and Asheland, we’ll do Elizabethtown, we’ll do Northern Kentucky and we’ll sort of wrap up in Jefferson County. When we hit the road we have two messages, first
and foremost is one you’ve already heard, you’ve heard it from your parents, from your teachers, your counselors, your principal, but never has education been as important as it is today. We live in a changing world, a changing economy, a global
economy, and education is more important than ever. Second message is that we’d like for you to take
a look at the University of Louisville, visit us, come to Louisville, we don’t talk about the size
of our freshman class each year, we talk about the quality of our freshman class. We don’t want to be the biggest; we want to be the best. Ahh, I texted my mom kind of after that, don’t tell the principals, but I said ‘Hey, we need to set up a college
visit for the University of Louisville.’
