The Healthy Habit Of Spinning


– I love getting to know so many
of your fantastic healthy habits. And I think you’ll
agree with me, that we’re on a roll
with this next one. (upbeat music) Sometimes the best way to
pick up a healthy habit is to find out what
works for others. – Hi my name is Renie. I’m an executive assistant,
my healthy habit is spin. The reason I love
spin is because it makes me feel comfortable
in my own skin. (energizing music) – Spinning is such a
great healthy habit Renie. But it looks like a
super intense workout, but you say anyone
can jump right in. – Absolutely.
Anybody can jump in. – It is all about your perceived
effort, and exertion level. The instructors here,
they give you a range. They could say, here’s your
resistance, here’s your RPM. And while others might
be stronger, it’s
about your effort. Your 100% feeling that
you’re working your hardest. – I love that, you’re
having a blast, but you’re also getting
a total body workout. – Absolutely, I feel that
you’re getting abs because you’re in different positions,
not to mention your glutes. You’re working your core
because you’re up in second, third, different positions. (upbeat music) – When I take a spin class,
I kinda get lost in the room, right, lost in the circular
motion of this bike. Mentally, that helps
me get in flow, it helps you mentally, too? – It helps me
mentally, in two ways. First of all, I spin first
thing in the morning, which gets my
endorphins rolling. And is sets a total
positive vibe for my day. Second of all, at
night when I get home, I definitely sleep 100% better. – You get up at the
crack of dawn to get your workouts in,
every single day. But you’re also so busy at work, you’re working a full-time job. How do you make that happen? – Hold myself accountable. First thing in the
morning when I wake up, I know that it’s gonna set
the precedent for the day. I also have a group of
girls that I make plans with to attend class, and that’s
