The 17th Australian Deaf Games, Day 4 (12.01.16) (cc)

Ready? Hello and welcome to Hands to Communicate sports news at the Australian Deaf Games Day 4. Today we went out to four different sports. Firstly netball and then lawn bowls. And then some really interesting finals for two sports… Beach volleyball and touch football. Let’s take a look. Hi, my name is John Maggs. I’m from Adelaide, South Australia. I played volleyball over there, in the mixed team. We won quite a few games, but unfortunately we did lose one. Soon it will be the grand final for the 4:4 competition And when that’s finished – the grand final for the 4:4 competition. It will be the semi final for the 2:2 competition I’m really excited. I’m proud of my boy I’m so excited. I hope they win today. I hope they win! I’m excited! Thank you. I’m happy! One for the 2:2 and one for the 4:4 competition. Two golds! And my other boy also! I’m really happy. I’m excited Well, we’re here at the touch football final. For the men’s and women’s mixed team – QLD won and Canberra lost. Then we had the men’s competition. Victoria against Queensland. Queensland dominated the first half, with the score of 5:0. I thought that Queensland team will win easily. But in the second half, Victoria rallied and made a comeback, But the final score was still 7:4. So congratulations, good work! Wow… congratulations to the winners of the grand finals. Well done, to those champions. Now… what’s the weather for tomorrow going to be? Let’s take a look. Well here we have NSW against WA. It’s really hot and sunny here- 37 degrees. Soon it will climb to 38 degrees. The update for tomorrow…? Wow. 39 degrees. But tomorrow afternoon we’ll see a slight drizzle and some cloud cover. Just a little bit. So again, that means… drink plenty of water, put on sunscreen and wear your hat! OK? Thanks Alexander for the weather update. So it will still be very hot tomorrow. As for the medal and tally update – we’ll give you that tomorrow. Thank you for watching. And keep watching our videos. I’m Ramas. Thank you for watching Hands to Communicate.
