Sydney Russell School holds a nail-biting multi-sport competition | OBLive

It’s a fantastic event, because you know
kids who’d normally don’t take part in a lot of sports, it’s opportunity [for them] to take today in the indoor athletics sportshall event. For example, they might not be the fittest person in the bunch, but then they could be the
tallest, they could have a lot more power when it comes down [to activities such as] the chest
push and javelin. At the same time it’s very competitive, you know that they need
it at such a young age and at the same time they’re keeping fit and healthy
that’s what it’s all about. Our champions with 706 points are.. BEAM PRIMARY SCHOOL! The Sports Athletics Competition has just come
to an end. We’ve had the best part of 250 children in here causing chaos [and]
causing a lot of noise [lots of] running, jumping and throwing. The borough of Barking and
Dagenham has always done great at this event. They don’t know it yet, but I’m going to invite them to London Youth Games. [It is] one of the most competitive competitions in the whole of
Europe. As you can see by the noise still been generated it has been a fantastic day, it really has.
