“see community.” at the University of Kentucky

I’m Gabrielle Innocent I’m from Bowling Green,
Kentucky. I am a freshman here at UK and I am a pre-nursing major with an Italian minor.
So why do you think the new facilities here at UK are so important. I think it draws the
incoming freshman or the people who are looking at the University Kentucky; it draws your
eye more to give the school a chance. I know that was one of the things that drew me here
and it promotes a sense of community, I know within our Woodland area we’re pretty close
here on south campus. It really helps when you know the friends down the hall are working
on the same homework as you are, on the same classes you are, you can go straight to them
and ask for help and vice-versa. : One thing I’m excited to be involved in is called PRN,
it’s Promoting Relationship in Nursing and it’s taking the pre-nursing students and getting
us involved with another mentor so we can have that connectivity and that networking
in the nursing program so early on. It means a lot to know people are here for us; people
are here for me and want me to succeed. Are you happy you’re here? : I am definitely
ecstatic that I’m here, I have called my mom multiple times I’ve called my grandma most
of the times and I’ve said I wake up saying I’m so glad I made the choice to come here,
I couldn’t imagine myself at any other school. UK is the best fit for me.
