New BGSU Head Football Coach

New BGSU Head Football Coach

– As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of BGSU football, I’m proud to announce the 20th head football
coach, Scot Loeffler – Bowling Green has a
wonderful, rich tradition of football along with an
incredible academic reputation, I’m honored to be a part
of such a great university. My family and I look forward
to developing a program that will make all BG
faculty members, students, former players, alum, and fans proud. My family is extremely excited to begin our mission,
which began yesterday. The passion and the pride for building Bowling Green
football are tremendous. With the faculty, the
students, the great community that we have here, the donors that do a wonderful job
supporting our program. I understand the passion after meeting with people like Mike Wilcox
during the interview process and talking to Bob Siebel
and I’m looking forward to talking to all the great people who help us at our great university. Our plan is simply this:
we’re going to create and we’re going to build and hire one of the best coaching staffs
in this program’s history. Our mission is not to
just graduate our players, but to develop them into great husbands, great fathers, and successful
men in the community. The second aspect of our mission is to win for Bowling Green. Our brand of football will be simple. It will be intertwined with great defense, great special teams, and a
physical, explosive offense. I can’t wait, and I can’t
tell you how excited that I am to be your football coach, and I promise to give
you relentless effort, loyalty and do all the things that make this great game special, and I will do my darndest to make sure we’re doing it the right way. Go Falcons. This is awesome. Thank you so much. (applause)
