>>(Narrator): Keuka College’s Women’s Volleyball team earned a share of the NEAC regular season championship during Wednesday night’s win over Wells College. With their seventh kill of the first set, senior Paige Golden, two-time, first-team all NEAC outside hitter, surpassed Janice Mars for first place on the career kills list, as The Storm won their eighth straight.>>(Paige Golden): It’s good we got a home game in. It turned out that it did happen. It was very exciting. I was so happy that my family and a lot of my friends could be there for it. It’s kind of a big deal. I take pride in how I played and I worked really really hard to be able to do this and still to do it my senior year is awesome, to just go out on that note. I guess overwhelmed, because everybody was standing and cheering. I didn’t think that many people would get excited about it, because I was quite excited. I didn’t think it would be that big a deal to anybody else, but I was really happy and people made me feel really good about it. Now we’re tied with SUNY IT and Gallaudet. So, we’re hoping to go into NEAC’s with people trying to defend themselves against us, because we’ve gotten a lot better in the past three years that I’ve been here and this year I think we can take it and it’s going to be a really exciting championship, that’s for sure. Keuka, which won twenty matches in a season for the third straight year, earned the #3 seed and will take on #2 SUNY IT in the semifinals on Saturday, November 10th. The championship is Sunday, November 10th at #1 seeded Gallaudet.
