Indoor Activities that Promote Wellness for Seniors | Spring Hills Senior Communities


In the summer in the warmer months we try to have more indoor activities. We try to do activities that engage their mind, body and spirit. We just had a Hula Party last Friday and they had piña coladas and tropical snacks they had entertainment they were having fun! One of the activities that we do have here that I love is sensory aromatherapy. Being in a nice, calming environment the smell of lavender soft music tends to ease my mind I can only imagine what it does for the actual residents. Some indoor activities that we have for our residents are ice cream socials we have massages dancing, singing a lot of interactive group sessions. We do a lot of indoor yoga indoor exercise classes we actually just started a tai chi class. We’ll have things like that that would normally be outdoors and we just, kind of, bring them inside.
