How Strong is Diavolo? (Doppio / King Crimson)

Diavolo was one of the most menacing stand
users we’ve seen. The strength, the Epitaph, the ability to
get to only the results, and he does this all with his stand- “KINGU CRIMSON” *Time
erases to the end*. Now hold on, we’ll get to that, but first,
let’s go about this from the beginning to see just how strong Diavolo is. Let’s begin this with Diavolo himself. The man is a unit, but he’s also extremely
secretive and not one to go out to do the most. We saw that in part 5. The only thing we’ve seen that was a test
of his own strength so far has been holding up the fortune teller with one arm, which
in our standards is strong. He’s not shaking either, he’s holding him
like it’s nothing. I want to say he’s capable of more above peak
human feats, but we don’t see much, and this is also just a lifting feat, so that doesn’t
say anything about what he’s capable of with his own hands. Plus, Diavolo mostly fights using King Crimson,
as he doesn’t necessarily need a reason to do anything with his own body. Now we have the durability of Diavolo and
Doppio, and it doesn’t say the most either from what we’ve seen. Let’s look to Risotto Vs. Doppio. A lot of the damage you see on Doppio would
and could kill people off rip and or kill someone if it goes untreated, but that doesn’t
say the most because this anime we’re talking about. It would be crazy to survive this type of
stuff as a 3d human being, but for them, it’s not exactly the most insane thing. What I will say is extremely inhuman is the
stamina of their body and how long it takes to take them down, which really didn’t even
happen in the fight. They were able to devise an entire game-plan,
work off their surroundings, and end up getting a win over both Risotto and Bruno’s team. Their stamina is what deserves the credit
here. Now, on the strength of King Crimson. King Crimson has punched through Bruno, Abbacchio,
and Spice Girl and had destroyed Silver Chariot and Polnareff. The first three are hard to do anything with,
but when we refer to Silver Chariot and Polnareff, we can get an easy idea of the ballpark King
Crimson is in strength-wise. So, Star Platinum and Jotaro without the intent
to kill can still cause Building level feats. Considering that, next, we look to Jotaro
and Star Platinum Vs. Polnareff and Silver Chariot. So, there’s a similar idea that we’re
not trying to take out a friend, but we also have to output enough strength to match the
killing intent our friend is outputting. That most likely moves that to Building plus,
but even if you don’t want to consider that, building level is enough as a normal level. Diavolo being able to severely damage Silver
Chariot and Polnareff to the point of near-death points towards Building and or Building plus. Now, do I think King Crimson has the potential
to show reasons why it’s stronger than that? Yeah, but since I don’t have the evidence
to provide that thought, it’s just a thought and nothing more. Now for the durability of King Crimson. This is another attribute we don’t see the
most from, especially since King Crimson has the ability it has, so there was never really
a reason to test its actual durability. The one thing I’ve seen that I guess should
be able to be made into an example is when Diavolo had punched through the stand Spice
Girl while inhabiting the same body it was in. Stand damage should reflect on its users (unless
it’s an automated stand), this should mean that King Crimson was able to take its own
damage. It only gets damaged to the extent of coughing
blood like how any anime character takes gut punches. So, if we established that King Crimson has
Building to Building plus damage output, and was able to take a fatal blow fairly easily,
that would point towards Building / Building plus or more durability. Though that’s my theory from what we’ve pieced
here. If you were to ask Araki, and he said, “Oh
well, why he was able to take it was because stand damage is reflected the main stand and
stand user, and Diavolo was inhabitant, so the damage was a lesser extent. ” Then THAT would be the case instead. On the speed of King Crimson… Well, if you’re able to see the future and
skip time, all you really need is a speed that is as fast or faster than your opponents’
combat speed, which it does! In previous videos, we go over the high speed
of the stands in Part 3. We have Silver Chariot as a massively faster
than light stand. Now, if Silver Chariot was unable to react
fast enough to King Crimson attempting to strike it after the time skip was over, then
shows evidence as to King Crimson also being massively faster than light. Arguments like, “Polnareff was caught off
guard” don’t matter because you’re able to react to something that catches you off guard
if you’re fast enough. Josuke has shown us that, Diavolo has shown
us that, hell, even Polnareff has shown us that. Plus, that applies outside of anime too, it’s
not a crazy concept. As for other speed feats, they stand barrage
Metallica’s knives and bullets from Sex Pistols. Didn’t react as well to Metallica’s knives
because it was Doppio is hosting the body, so it’s an in-character problem. They were also able to activate their time
erasure ability before taking actual damage from Bruno, who had both similar speeds and
caught him lacking. Now, we’re onto the abilities of King Crimson. First, we have Epitaph. Epitaph is the sub-stand of King Crimson that
gives the stand the ability to see up to 10 seconds into the future. The problem with it though has to be not being
able to determine how we got to the prediction. They know it’s going to happen and have to
try to see where their win condition is. It’s like Donnie Darko or Terminator 2. And finally, we’re at King Crimson’s true
ability. Time erasure. I will now explain King Crimson. So yeah, it’s actually fairly easy to understand
when you look into it for what it is. Oh wait, did something… Oh, well, I’ll explain it again. King Crimson, in quotes, “erases” a time frame
up to ten seconds. At that time, other people in the world don’t
experience that time and don’t have any memory of it. That time happened, it existed, but only to
Diavolo and King Crimson for the time it takes up. Basically, at that time, Diavolo has free
roamed to avoid whatever he wants to. A thing that I didn’t take into account before
the video was the fact that Diavolo can’t attack while in the time erasure. If you look to the JoJo wiki, it’ll refer
to a page in JoJoveller where the information is there, but I am one without JoJoveller. The thing is, you can see it anytime Diavolo
uses the time erasure ability. The ability is only used to avoid hits and
get positioning, after that is when he can strike, so that’s something to keep in mind. As for the extent of this ability, in terms
of functionality, I’m not sure where it fairs in comparison to other 4th dimensional
abilities. I know it should be on the middle or lower
end because of the minimal time limit in comparison to those that can do similar things with no
limits. How strong is Diavolo and King Crimson? Building level to building level plus in terms
of strength, massively faster than light in terms of speed, and their abilities are ridiculous. I think it’s fairly difficult to fight against
a character of his caliber. Now here’s my thing, if Diavolo did more
beheading than dough nutting, he’d probably get a lot more done. Just saying.
