High school athletes compete in Special Olympics bowling competition at Holiday Lanes


THERE WAS A PACKED HOUSE AT HOLIDAY LANES IN JOHNSON CITY TODAY — FOR THE SECOND OF THREE SPECIAL OLYPMICS BOWLING COMPETITIONS. NEARLY 120 HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES FILLED THE LANES WITH CHEERS AND LAUGHER. THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS COMMITTEE SAYS EVENTS LIKE THIS ARE POSSIBLE THANKS TO THE COUNTLESS HOURS PUT IN BY VOLUNTEERS. NO MATTER WHAT NUMBER OF PINS WERE BOWLED OVER, IT WAS EASY TO SEE–ATHLETES AND VOLUNTEERS ALIKE HAD A BALL WHILE BOWLING. HE NEXT EVENT WILL BE HELD NOVEMBER 4TH — FOR ELEMENTARY
