George Brown Huskies – Indoor Track

[music] SHARLENE MacLEOD: My team
members have definitely helped me with the overall
experience here at George Brown especially it being my first
year everyone was really helpful and really inviting. The coaching staff is
also excellent here. Everybody’s just
really welcoming. [music] BEZAD MOHIB: What made me join
the track team was because I wanted to stay fit and
push my limits to higher levels. [music] SHAOFANG ZHANG: My favourite
moment as a Husky athlete would be the first time that
I represent George Brown to compete in the
Centennial indoor meet. That was the first time
I’ve ever raced track and field event. [music] MILAD SETOUDEH: I believe
that my time on this– on this particular track team at George
Brown has actually excelled my expectations and
I really like how the coach, he’s always caring and he–he–
he tries to push you even when he knows that you’re– you’re
tired but he knows that you have that next level to, you
know, push you through that. [music] MICHAEL LAVIGNE: The skills
that– that people will learn from being on the indoor track
team are understanding how to push through adversity and
achieve their goals and become not only better athletes but by
becoming stronger, better athletes that they’ll
become better people. [music] EDGAR MALCHIC: In my times
as an athlete have met my expectations and this year I’ve
exceeded because I’ve trained throughout the summer and
with the help of my team mates showing up to practice every
time, I’ve been able to improve along with them. [music] BEZAD MOHIB: Fun, challenging,
commitment are the three words I would use to describe
being a Husky. [music] SHARLENE MacLEOD: The most
important lesson that I can take me with after this
season of running with George Brown is that the goals
that I set for myself, I can obtain those
goals and surpass them. [music]
