Game Night with Blanco Brown | Night Out Nashville

[BEAT BOXING] [UPBEAT MUSIC PLAYING] BLANCO BROWN: So I’m
at Marathon Music Works and just surprised the
audience with Matt Thomas from Parmalee on my set. We did “Just The Way.” Now we’re about to head to
[INAUDIBLE] and turn up. MATT THOMAS: You ready? Man, let’s do it. Let’s go, man. This place is fun. Ready to get your game on? BLANCO BROWN: Let’s get it.
I love foosball. MATT THOMAS: You
[INAUDIBLE] band a little something, something? BLANCO BROWN: Man, they put
a little cow tongue on it! What we going to– want we
going to play first, though. Matt Thomas hit me up, said, I
got a record you got to hear. I feel like it would be
special if you got on it. (SINGING) Just the way. When do you want to cut it? He said, man, I want
to cut it like now! We’ll drive to Atlanta. I cut it, and the
next thing I know, they were getting
mixed and mastered. Let me tell you me something. You ain’t got a cow tongue. I got a cow tongue to put it. Oh he got a– I got a cow tongue, too. You got a cow tongue, too. I put a cow tongue on it. May the winner get
both cow tongues. May the best man win. Yes, I need it. All right, let’s do it. BLANCO BROWN:
Country and hip hop have similar components
of storytelling. They are so similar
in elements, but they have different deliveries. When I found the two and put
them right together like meld perfectly, I felt
like I just did what the world wanted to hear. Y’all see what time it is. The king is here? BLANCO BROWN: Embracing
is just people here what I do and acknowledging it. And the country audience
love all type of music. I peel back that onion. Every time I touch the stage,
it’s this the greatest moment to see people go from “this is
a get up guy” to “oh my God, you’re such a performer.” [BLANCO BROWN YELLS WITH
EXCITEMENT] I call it trailer park
music meets trap music, just bridge the gap trailer trap. When I left like Sam Hunt
concerts, Jason Aldean concerts and everything,
people were playing trap music in a parking lot. Y’all heard my
record, “The Git Up.” BLANCO BROWN: Though it
is a different audience, they love everything. That’s why I knew and
I felt that my music could convey to them. And we would have a connection. (SINGING) I love you
just the way God made. Girl, He don’t make mistakes. Ah, roses, you know, we
love to give out roses. It’s just a symbol of love. MATT THOMAS: I just want to see
if we can get a smile tonight. Thank you. BLANCO BROWN: A rose
is only as beautiful as a rose can be
when a woman grabs it if she don’t get stung by it. MATT THOMAS: I had
a good time tonight. Man, I enjoyed myself. But, you know, you always
have more fun when you win. Well, you know, that’s
how it goes sometimes. Hey, we’ve got
these cow tongues. Let’s go spend them
downtown Honky Tonk. What do you think?
– Let’s get it. Let’s get it?
Let’s go. Come on.
